Hat’s off to the Engineers @ MOTO

We all know that electronics are getting smaller and smaller which can only mean one thing: you’re bound to lose it somewhere and somehow. With today’s fashion sense, Calvin Klein is not making it much better. Think about.. we never have enough pockets (sometimes not any pockets) or we have way too many pockets. It’s a lose-lose situation folks!
That’s happen to me with my Motorola Bluetooth HS850 Headset. Sure, it’s not the smallest bluetooth headset, but it’s just small enough for me not to feel it’s diminutive composition during my routine pat down of my cargo pants pockets.
Apparently, the headset ran through a wash cycle and then ran another cycle through the dryer; which is where I discovered it. Oh, the horror I tell ya! This is not like finding $100 bucks in the dryer but more on the total opposite end of that spectrum. Yeah, I can find a replacement HS850 online for about $40 but that’s $40. You know what, we don’t think in dollar signs anymore, the new measure of value is in gallons of gas. So the HS850 would probably run me about 10 gallons of petrol. Humm.. nope, not going to buy another one.
Right before I was about to send it out to the dump, I decided to see if it could take a charge. And guess what.. … it did take the charge and the headset operates 100% normal. Woot!
Thanks MOTO for making a great headset that can take at least a wash and dry cycle.

So Many DSLR’s to Choose From
Posted by Nam-o | Filed under Electronics
I’ve been wanting to grab a new dslr for the longest but bumming off of people have helped ease my sudden urge from time to time. I’m in need of recommendations; the usage of the camera will be split down 50/50.. business and personal. Nothing too heavy, but nothing too cheap too, I want something Goldie Locks would love to steal in some stranger’s house.
**In regards to the business end, I’m not a professional photog. I just want better picture quality in my pics for me to use on my web/graphic design projects. Don’t steering me away from dslr; you can’t beat the reaction time with a typical point-and-shoot and those half-way point-and-shoot/want-to-be dslr**
I’ve looked at a couple already like..
Nikon’s D40
_Comments_ Nice and small. The auto focus is banging! It’s the gramp’s of the my line-up but not too sure if I should wait or grab this because I’ve found some online for around $400. Since this camera doesn’t have the auto-cleaning mech., not too 100% sure if that’s a deal breaker.

Nikon D40
Sony’s a200, a300, a350, a700
_Comments_ Another Nice camera. Love the fact the Auto Focus is built into the body. Fits real comfy in my hands. The a300 and a350 seems like it has struck the sweet spot in regards price and features (live view and flip out, hip shooting screen) but I might lean more towards the cheaper a300 kit (2 lenses).

Sony A300
Canon’s brand spank’in new XSI and XS
_Comments_ Hey.. it’s spank’in new. Probably considered as the poor man’s 40D in terms of photo quality. Probably grab the XSI over the XS because it’s roughly a $40 difference. Did I meantioned awesome photo quality?!

Canon XSI
So there you have it. On the high end, I love the XSI. On the more low end, D40 still floats my boat.. and sitting right in the middle the Sony a300’s.
What would you choose.. or do you have any other recommendations?

Prelude
Posted by Nam-o | Filed under Prelude
Well, hi there!
Nam here! Welcome to my blog.
So, what’s the idea behind this blog?
As of right now, I’m using this as a tool to communicate and display my work and projects. Even anything outside my daily web/graphic design regiment such as awe inspiring figures, what’s running through my mind (good and bad), and anything else that is happening to me during the daily rise and fall of the sun and the moon.
As you can see, I’m settling on a preinstalled theme. I do have to admit, I’m feeling the urge to customize the theme to my own liking; you might experience some technical difficulties from time to time due to my tinkering.
Just Hang tight! There’s more to come!
Thanks again for visiting my site!
